What if Girls Really Did Rule?

I feel like we spend most of our time as women, trying to patch up and make the most of the system we inherited.

Nana scored on this one. I’m told she wore it all the time!

Let’s talk about politics because it’s such a rare topic (tongue in cheek). Oh sure, you’re inundated with it daily, you’re sick of it, you want to go to bed and wake up in an America that’s more concerned about whether the pineapple will be ripe enough for tonight’s get-together rather than whether WWIII and mass extinction are just a click away.

ALL of THIS to really just say I had an idea.

A political idea; this morning.

Women are relatively new on the scene in politics. In 1920, we could vote, by federal ruling, unless we happened to be Native American—that took four more years. And while we constitute half the population in gender, we don’t constitute half the representation in Congress. Anyway, the point is we didn’t really have a say in how the whole shebang was set up. We didn’t have a say in how the market was set up or how the military was set up or how the government was set up. I feel like we spend most of our time as women, trying to patch up and make the most of the system we inherited.

What if we set up the system(s) from scratch? What if we started our own government and market system? What would our tenets be?

I’m not going to answer the questions, I’m going to let you ponder them.

Yours on the Journey,

Julie
